FTC Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure

Compliance with FTC 16 CFR Part 255

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), this disclosure explains how MarginSolver generates revenue to support our free web applications.

1. How we keep our calculators 100% free

Unlike traditional software suites that charge monthly subscription fees ($50–$200/mo) or require you to submit your email to view calculation results, MarginSolver is 100% free with zero paywalls. We fund our continuous hosting, development, and fee schedule research through:

  • Display advertising: We display contextual advertisements served through Google AdSense and accredited digital ad networks. These ads are clearly demarcated with "Advertisement" or "Sponsored" labels.
  • Affiliate referral partnerships: From time to time, we may provide links to specialized third-party software tools (such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, Sellerboard, Keepa, or Shopify). If you choose to click one of these links and sign up for a plan, we may receive a referral commission at no additional cost to you. In many cases, our partner agreements provide exclusive discounts or extended free trials for our readers.

2. Editorial independence & integrity

Our mathematical formulas, fee tables, and calculator results are calculated using pure, deterministic algorithms based on official platform fee schedules. Referral partnerships never influence our mathematical outputs, fee breakdowns, or size tier evaluations. We only mention tools that provide genuine utility to e-commerce sellers.

3. Questions or concerns

If you have any questions regarding our affiliate relationships or advertising policies, please reach out via our contact page.
